I recently primed with Kilz over a waterbased paint what will happen?

I painted over a water based paint with Kilz oil based primer, and now what to paint over that..what should I do?...of course I already purchased another water based paint...helpI recently primed with Kilz over a waterbased paint what will happen?
The Kilz would have sealed it so that anything under it won't seep through when you paint with something else. So nothing should happen by your having used Kilz over it.I recently primed with Kilz over a waterbased paint what will happen?
I presume you meant the oil-based Kilz. They have latex Kilz now. Just completed a monster re-paint. Since you are wanting to paint with latex paint, you do need to re-prime with the latex Kilz or some other primer. Sherwin Williams' version is called Pro-Block.
you should be alright i done the same thing. my neabors car burned in his drive way my windows where open got smoke damage in my house near the windows and on the cealing i washed the stains of put a coat of kills and it loooks great. been about 3 months now
Your OK latex will stick to kilz
Well, nothing will happen with the primer, you can paint over latex with oil, but not the other way around. You'll have to prime your oil primer now, or the latex will crack after a while. Sorry. Nowadays it's just best to stick with latex paints. They've come a long way as far as durability and can't be matched in cleanup.
You can use Latex over Kilz oil based primer.

This is from the ';Official'; Kilz website...

KILZ Original primer/sealer will dry to the touch in 30 minutes and can be recoated or topcoated in one hour with either latex or oil-based paint. It makes an excellent enamel undercoater, leaving the surface well prepared for a smooth, enamel finish.
Kilz is a primer. You can topcoat anything over a fully cured primer. My wood siding was scraped and reprimed with oil based primer and top coated with acrylic, as per Benjamin Moore paint instructions. Ten years and still looks good. Are you sure your Kilz is oil, by the way? They have several formulas. The best for interior stain killing is the shellac based one.
