Paint smell (Kilz) HELP!?

Bought a house that had chain smokers in it. So I painted the entire house with Kilzs paint as a primer, then painted it with regular paint. After 2 months it still smells! Really bad it's like a slight smoke smell with paint (heavy paint smell). I have par-ky flooring throughout and I wonder if the smoke has got into the wood.Paint smell (Kilz) HELP!?
Until you can get your vents cleaned try small bowls of white vinegar in each room, they will help with the smokey/paint smell. You can also try baking soda sprinkled on carpets let it set 30 mins. and vaccum your carpets, and small bowls of baking soda in each room. After cleaning you hardwood floors rinse in WEAK vinegar solution 1/4 c. vinegar to gallon of water dry quickly with old towels.Paint smell (Kilz) HELP!?
Well, hopefully you learned not to buy houses like that.

Febreeze has fabric freshener and air freshener. Also, I think the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser also has a febreeze scented kind so you could clean surfaces with that. Vacume frequently, even floors. Have any rugs steamed, too If you can afford it and you really think the smoke has seaped into the flooring you can get new flooring or cover the floors with rug squares which are cheaper than buying new floors or wall to wall carpet. Hope you get rid of that smell, good luck!
You might consider getting an electronic air purifier for the rooms that have the odors. You can buy these in Walmart or any dept. store. That should do it. You can also keep all of the windows open with fans directing the air outside. (this may take a few weeks and I highly suggest this for paint odors) Sherwin Williams makes low VOC paints that have no odor and are safe for the environment.

If the smell is coming from the floor, use a damp sponge mop with a pine based cleaner. Then immediately wipe the floor with a dry towel so that the water doesn't seep into the parquet.
I bet the smoke smell is in your air conditioning and venting. Replace the filters, and see if you can call someone to clean out your vents.

Put your nose to the floors and see if the smell is coming from those too, but I bet it's your ventilation.
COULD OF WASHED THE WALLS 1ST.. WASHED THE FLOOR THAN PAINTED IT..
