Which is the better primer for painting over paneling, Kilz or Zinsser?

Kilnz is - the oil base kind. Use caulking after sanding on the cracks, wipe with wet rag - after sanding and after caulking. Let dry for 24 hours, mask well, and be sure to wear a respirator because it will (kilnz) get you terribly high, then a horrible headache afterwards, Then open the doors and windows to let dry out good.....It is just a better product than Zinsser and Kilnz is easier to clean up through an airless paint sprayer or get a 3/4 inch roller(a good one), since you are going through all the expense anyway and just throw away after use.. do not take the cost and time to clean a roller. Hope this helps.....Which is the better primer for painting over paneling, Kilz or Zinsser?

we used Kilz about 5 years ago and it is still holding up in several rental units.
I painted white over dark paneling years and years ago and I didn* use either one. It is still holding up.
zinsser White pigmented shellac
kils is good
I have used both. It has been my experience that KILZ covers and seals far better than any other product for residentsial and commercial painting. I have not used it in industrial applications. Kilz dries fairly quickly with some moving air and ventilation. The oil based is the best but the water based works OK. Zinseer is too thin, does not cover well, and I have had to apply as many as 3 coats to get it to work. I have never had a problem using KILZ. Except the smell.
