Painted the ceiling with Kilz primer & now it's bubbling just in 1 spot-why? How should I deal with this?

The paint we are covering is latex and the paint we are using is also latex so that shouldn't be the problem.. My plan of attack at this point is to let the area dry, then sand it and repaint it with the Kilz primer before I cover the entire ceiling with the ceiling paint.Painted the ceiling with Kilz primer %26amp; now it's bubbling just in 1 spot-why? I agree with your plan.

But if it doesn't work you may have to smear a very thin coat of drywall compound over the area. Let it dry over-night, sand and then primer and paint for a guaranteed finish.Painted the ceiling with Kilz primer %26amp; now it's bubbling just in 1 spot-why? How should I deal with this?
Wipe the bubbled paint off. Let the rest of the paint dry. Clean the spot with TSP or a cleaner that cleans oil residue. Then make sure everything is dry, you might want to slightly sand abit cause we don't know wants on there to begin with. Then use to same primer. Kilz is a pretty good primer. However if its a watery bubble you got yourself of leak and that would be a total bummer.
I'm gonna guess and say it's a kitchen ceiling that's ';bubbling'; if so this is caused by an oil splatter or food. The oil and water based Kilz won't mix. Water based primers like Kilz do not work well on stains so if it was a stain to begin with it will take 2 to 3 coats of the water based to finally seal it for you this is why the oil primer/sealers work better. If it's not a kitchen ceiling I'll still bet there is some kind of an oil repelling your Kilz, get a spray can of the oil based kilz and just spray that area, good luck Les the painter
If it's bubbling only in one spot, there's a good chance that it's getting wet from above.
